Gone

Take me anywhere she said

her soft checks like cotton

rubbed up against the pricks of mine

her whisper so faint

like a feather landing on a shore

so I took her

her hand as smooth as seaglass

her eyes as big as the moon

her smile looked at me as if I was her hero

saving her from her doom

we were going, going, going, then

gone
