Gone

When things went bump in the night you were there I thought to protect me but now I know better The dragons, the lions, the ghosts, the scary things The horrors I dreamt with my eyes closed tight I thought they were all in my mind till I opened my eyes and there they were I ran to your arms my savior my love or so I thought I quickly learned different you were poisoning me forcing me to see these demons just so you could feel something something, love, happiness, content; power, pity, strong I don't know which set what I do know is small to this day when i close my eyes the horrors are there but when i open them both they and you are gone
