Gone

Now soon you will be gone,

and I am going to miss you during dawn.

I wake up every morning

dreading the next moment

that I know is coming soon,

how will I say goodbye to you,

and push you to the back of my mind.

I will tell you that I hope someday you find someone that makes you happy,

even though I dont mean it, it will sound like I do.

Will it be selfish if I tell you to think of me? to never forget me?

That's what I truly want to tell you but I know I wont be able to.

Can I tell you to think of me everytime a love song comes up?

remember the way we used to stare into eachother's eyes,

filling me with butterflies,

ignoring the world around us?

But instead I will tell you to smile

when you think of me ten years from now, and I hope you do

I will tell you that I am sorry for failing to show you affection in the same way you you continue to,

Finally,

I will tell you that everything happens for a reason,

we might not understand it now, but even 'us' had a meaning

I will tell you to forgive me for not being able to stay,

now that you are so far away.
