Gone

I made my marks

along the salty shoreline.

Then watched as they disappeared.

I wrote words

in the soft, hot sand.

Then watched as they disappeared.

I ran from the waves

as they came so close.

Then watched as they disappeared.

I sat all alone

as the scorching sun moved in the sky.

Then watched as it disappeared.
