Gone

I can't go to the beach anymore
I can't sit and watch the shore
I can't feel the sand beneath my toes
Or even let the wind brush across my nose
What is most painful is the sound of the water
Where two men disposed of my daughter's body after they shot her
I shouldn't have let her go to the beach that day
Now my entire world has gone from color to gray
My only little girl is now in the sky
And I never got the chance to say goodbye
