Gone

You are gone.

lost, destroyed, undefined,

the same face,but different eyes.

What did she do to you?

You were supposed to be my rock

my shelter, my protector, my deliverer,

the father you used to be.

 Then it was gone.

Where are those eyes

sparkling, shining, glimmering,

so blue that it hurt?

They're dull and lifeless.

Who told you the grass was

greener, better, stronger,

on the other side?

She was wrong.
