Good-Bye

When I dream about my wedding,
I wake, crying my eyes out.

And in that dream, I keep on dying,
dying of a broken heart.

You promised me my future,
you always were my past.

I’m searching, waiting, unsure,
wondering when you’ll be back.

Maybe I’ll always be bitter,
I wanted you all to myself.

But you’ve left me for your Father,
And left everything else behind.

I know that I’m being selfish,
stupid, silly, a child,
but I miss, I miss, I miss you-
and I cannot hate you for that.
