Good Enough

The feeling rushing through your veins screams at you telling you."Hey you're not good enough. You try to hide from the outside world but the inside world aint no better. No one hears the slow and silent thud of your heart as it slows to the words they shove in your head. Your arms are no longer the free wings they used to be they are now pinned down forever unmoving, forever still, and forever frozen. You say you'll try again tomorrow, but it aint good enough. You run away from both the inside and the outside world knowing neither care or want to understand your reasons. So you reside with the feeling that no one but you will know what you feel. You try to smile through the pain but the words hit harder each time. The outside screams at you saying you'll never make it , but you try to ignore it so you can be the best you can for the inside world, but still you learn to know it never enough. your nightmares track your thoughts and lock you in the cage of all the reasons you're not worthy. You try to smile for them. you hide your thoughts for them. You try your hardest to be enough for them, but what do you receive from them? Your thoughts try to trace the footsteps of the loved ones not around. You take a picture of a good time with them, but you still have to continue to walk. Your road feels lonely. "Not enough the outside yells."More the inside world begs. Come on they yell" more, better, too little, too much, not enough. enough, enough, enough. Why aren't you different? Well I am enough, more than enough. Maybe I'm not enough for you, but I am to someone else. I see that someone else every day waking up in the bathroom mirror. I turned my back on her too busy trying to see too far in front of me. Her voice says calmly to me with sweet words"More than enough, better than enough, perfectly imperfect, you are enough. But I didn't hear that at first, I was too busy trying to hear the outside and inside worlds words as they beat me down until I feel soulless. It hurt to think I'm not good enough for the outside world, but maybe getting shot in the heart would be a million times less painful than not feeling good enough to the inside world. So I give up. I'm done being not enough. when someone loves you they would never change you. They will understand that you are merely a human and you could never be perfect, but that doesn't matter to them. They love your flaws because those flaws have helped shape you, they hold you up when you feel like you're sinking and would be willing to accept you for you with no love lost. So in the end I may not be good enough for those two worlds, but the way I see it is im good enough for me. So therefore I am more than enough.
