The Good Friend

I’m the good friend

The one who asks you if your day went well

The one who sends you off with a “drive safe”

The one who would tell you if you had something in your teeth

And when you seemed sad would be there so you can talk about it

But the thing is

Good friends like me also have feelings

We want to be asked the stuff we ask others

We care because we know people need the extra support yet we never receive it

We want what we give so we give a lot of it

Even after caring we don’t get a return

We remain on the same platform not allowing the healthy exchange of relationships to come and go by asking

A simple question makes a good friend’s day

CuriouslyB

I’m going to be an adult ... doesn’t that mean I get to express myself a little bit more
