Good Luck
Dear Past Self,
I know you don't want to hear this but don't give up. I know you want to at whatever is happening in your life right now. It doesn't get any easier, just tougher, but as long as you keep on reading His word, is will help you push through. I'm just going to tell you the honest truth about what really is going to happen. The biggest obstacles you are going to hit are, you are going to have so many fake friends. All these snakes will try to make you choose between who is going to be your best friend. Then, you will only have one best friend for a while. You think she is there for you thick and thin, I mean don't get me wrong she is there, but just not for long. After that, she will say little things to make you feel a little bit uglier than she, she will say how your hair looks disgusting, and you just woke up, when you know you took at least an hour on yourself. She makes you feel horrible inside, but at the same time laughs with you and hangs out with you all the time. Then she will use you for going to spend time with someone else (most likely will be a guy), but she won't tell her mom about it and expects you not to say anything when you know it's wrong. Last but not least she will pull the last straw and manipulate and peer pressure you to have your first drink ever. She thinks it's hilarious when you find out it's one of the strongest drinks, vodka. She knows your a little tipsy, so she happens to record you and the next day show her friends at school. You feel ashamed. You don't like what you've done. You finally tell mom, because both of us know that she is like a diary. We have that specail bond, but it will go downhill from there. Long story short..yes I know, this is the short version... The one who you thought was yoru best friend ended up being your worst, and we are still not speaking to each other. I know right now you proabably think that you will never make anymore friends, but that is a lie from the pit of hell. It will take some healing, but you will make new friends. You will have way more friends than you could ever imagine. You know your old friends that you had, well they will become some of your closest friends. Jackie, they were always there, but you were just too focused on that one best friend you had, you never realized how much other people were there for you. This is only one of the toughest obstacles you will have to get through, but remember to keep talking to God, have a good relationship with your family and love yourself. I love you with all my heart.
Sincerely,
Jackie Ortega (present day)
