Good Luck To The Future, You'll Need It

My generation is broken by the lack of respect.

And yet are told to respect our elders.

How am I to love someone if I am not loved back.

Is that what you try to teach us?

For what happened to the message you carved into us

"Treat others how you want to be treated."

You can't even follow your own rules.

I will always fight.

Fight for my right to love another woman.

Fight for my right to walk down the street, without being scared..

of those behind me.

Fight for my right to not be murdered in the areas labeled "safe"

The only place I find safest is my own thoughts,

and even then, I'm scared of what I think.

You have ruined me.

I won't let you ruin the next.

Good luck, Generation Alpha.

You'll need it.
