Good Mourning
Mournful waves swirled,
Drops of dread down my face,
Her once familiar face,
Forgotten.
Together, doomed since the dawning,
In a forest of anguish,
Broken by honesty’s burden,
Isolated yet in unison.
Allowing the to angels commit,
Drawn to the pure heavens.
Begging for daybreak,
Shunning the valley
And nightfall.
Day broke.
Gone was she.
Hesitation’s ballad bowed,
An abandoned whisper,
Drowning in a violet void.
There stood I,
With fantasties of tomorrow,
That would grow,
In the shadows.
Wilted.
Alone.
Blinking past the years of yesterday,
Grasping the horizon;
The ultimate goal.
Embraced by the azure,
Staring at the sun,
A muted voice inside.
