GOOD NIGHT

Good night was most absurd for the noon

But that was his best bet

As he lay like statue on his beautiful bed

Seaf to songs and praises

Deaf even to cries of mother and wife

On his stony face were frowns

Never to be creamed

Can it scare the ants that crave for food?

None can find this answer under the earth

That covers the bed and the sleeper

While the earth covers the dust

The self sojourns with the lord

An inheritance unperishinng, unfading

A worthy reward to a faithful servant

You have fought a good fight

Sleep the blessed sleep.
