Good Timing?

Last things first, people die and that’s a fact.

And rarely ready, is imperfect man.

But if beliefs count like sheep in the night,

I truly believe he brought me this dream.

Why do dreams deceive, casting their shadows

on reality and life? Believe me,

he who says to follow your dreams didn’t,

and cheerful thoughts only get you so far.

What I mean is, dreams are like a best friend.

But instead of pick your head up, they say

leave your head down and take the night time off.

The only time between you and yourself.

Down with the sunshine, while the moon hangs low,

a new star was sewn into the heavens.
