Goodbye

A rough, pounding sound of feet against pavement, Followed by a low roar of a car engine coming to life. A strong, fierce lingering scent fills the air, Such a happy, joyful aroma is replaced by longing and desperation. Most recent of memories are set on repeat, The wonderful images of us programmed in my mind. These senses I must hold onto, to remind me of our love. Until the day which comes a time, we never have to say goodbye.
