Goodbye

The Divide
Between what I am
And what they see
Is certain
I am certain
that this will
not stop,
that I am not
okay
That they do
not see beyond
what I say
And how I act
That the solution
is impossible to find
That I am falling
That I am drifting
How could I be
saved
Will I let myself
drown
Empty threats
Empty promises
I stand alone
Always waiting
Always wanting
I do not know
what this is
If it is the end
or...
If it is the start
of a new way
of life
A page that I
do or do not
want to turn
Unknown
to me is how
I will be
Unknown to
them is what
they can't see
So I stand
conflicted
With one foot on
And one foot over
The cliff
The bridge
The boundary
between life
and death
This is where
I stand
I stand where
you can't find
me
Where I cannot
be reached
Don't reach for
my touch
My reaction
will not be
amicable
I hide
I Jump
I Say
Goodbye.
