Goodbye
You promised me a truth, but you told me a lie
How can you do that more than twice?
You promised me once and you promised again
But that was back then
Now you're gone and I don't know why
You didn't even give me a chance to say goodbye
I saw the foam drip from your mouth to the floor
And the pills from the store
I should have kept watch with a better eye
Maybe you would still be here by my side.
We used to laugh back then
But I don't know what changed from then and now
I can't see clearly
With the tears coming out of my eyes
Streaming down my face
And landing on your grave
Sorry I don't know what to say
Clearly you wanted it this way
Leaving me here all alone
Damn I sound selfish now
But you were all I cared about
But one thing comes to mind
You were my best friend
And now I have to say goodbye
