Goodbye

Time to say goodbye.

It will never be

Time for grief to end.

There will come a

Moment in which good things must die.

I can accept the

Unfairness of death no more.

I blame God for the

Theft of my loved ones.

I no longer perceive death as the

Escape to a better world.

I pray that, someday, I may

Avoid this journey.

I no longer try to

Look on the bright side.

The tears of sadness never cease, but I

Feel only pain and rage.

I no longer think I’ll

See you again.

I now strive to

Escape death.

I know I cannot

Live by God.

Then in my mourning, I knew what I must do.

(Read the lines in reverse.)
