Goodbye

We haven’t said goodbye yet,

And maybe we never will,

But our future’s already set,

So let life do what it will.

Even if we both leave,

Away from an earth that dies,

I believe we’ll reach a death that lives,

A world that never says goodbye.

For even if we say goodbye,

I’ll know you see the stars,

And wherever your heart lies,

I’ll prayer for where you are.

Because I remember clearly,

The smile you always had,

And how you always helped me,

When all in life was bad.

And I’ll always remember,

The look upon your face,

The sunlight in September,

How we lasted in life’s race.

We haven’t said goodbye yet,
