Goodbye

No words can describe how I feel without you

I’m trying to make sense of what happened

But I’m drawing a blank.

One day you were here, and I could listen to your beautiful voice

And see your amazing smile

Now you are gone, and I feel empty

The nine years I spent knowing you were just not enough

I should have appreciated you more

I should have heard your cries for help

I should have encouraged you

I should have told you to keep holding on

And now you are gone and all I have left are should have’s

It’s a shame that you left us like this

You never know how much you a person means to you until you lose them

How true that statement is when you experience it

I must pick myself up and survive

I must remember you for the good times and not the end

I must remember you for your laughter and not the tears I feel pouring down my cheeks

Rest in peace, for you changed an entire generation with your voice and lyrics
