Goodbye
I feel a burning
in my eyes, your voice
continues on. Your words shrinking
me down to nearly nothing
as you smile
The dam begins to crumble;
I try my best to hold
the water in,
but I can't hide heartbreak.
To your surprise
my eyes begin to flow;
they blur, hope warping
if you care or not.
The sun beats down as you laugh
it off, leaving me chilled.
How are you human?
I won't miss or think of you.
I'll go somewhere,
be someone new
So forever goodbye, my dear.
