Goodbye.

Dear J,

I knew you were dangerous.
I knew it was a risk to allow myself to get close to you.
I knew it was crazy to try to welcome you into my heart.
I knew.
I really knew,
and yet I did it anyway.

I spent 18 months talking to you,
listening to you,
learning you,
loving you.

18 crazy, intense, stupid months,
and I lost myself in wanting you.
but somehow,
I found myself in that same exact way.

with you by my side,
my life changed in so many ways.
I knew it was too good to be true,
and it really was.

you brought on the many emotions of:
confusion,
joy,
misery,
infatuation,
heartbreak,
and everything in between.

you taught me lessons;
so many lessons,
and I learned a lot through you.
I learned about myself,
about lies,
about deceit,
about relationships,
about life.

so thank you,
but goodbye.
