I’m afraid

to say the least

Of what’s waiting

out there for me

I don’t want to

but I have to go

So my love

you need to know

You are like my very own drug

Seeing you is a rainbow on my day

That beautiful smile can remove all the rain

And holding you reduces my pain

But more importantly...

you should be aware...

that I’m no good...

and there’s better out there

so I’ll wipe the tears from my eyes

and kiss you

as my final

goodbye
