Hard Goodbyes

I never knew how hard it was

to finally say goodbye

All my memories and thoughts of you

will never escape my mind

I hope you knew I loved you

before you passed on

that I will always be there

even if you're gone

I miss you here on earth

and I hope you understand

my love for you began

long before you were gone
