Goodbye

The rain pelts at my windshield

as the sky grows dark

and the distance increases

between two hearts.

The tears run down my face

as my heart grows cold

and your voice

echoes through my head.

Saying goodbye is the hardest part

of "See you later".

I just wish I could give thanks

to the boy who changed me.
