Goodbye

I stand at the train station wondering why

I can't move my lips to say goodbye

The train is pulling in much to fast

To realize that this goodbye may be our last

I'm hurting inside but I can't let it show

Though something tells me you already know

You look in my eyes and say "I'll call everyday"

But don't all goodbyes start off the same way?

Then you pull me in your arms and say that you'll miss me

I hug you back and say "I'll miss you too"

I hold back the tears and stay strong for you

After all, what else can I do?

Then you pulled away and gave me one last look

And as you walk away I counted each step that you took

But as the trains pulls out and my heavy heart flies high

I realize there's nothing left to do but say goodbye
