Goodbye

Why are you here?

You are supposed to be on a plane

Far away from here,

Far away from me

But you have returned

Why?

Because of me?

Because you want to say sorry?

Don’t.

I do not want nor do I need and apology from you

You left me

Without any notice

Without anything as little as a goodbye

And now you want me to forgive you?

How can you leave with no explanation

And come back with one?

Not a day has gone by

That I haven’t cried over you

Just praying you would come back

For me

Did you even care?

Of course not

I fell so hard for you

And you don’t even realize what you have done to me

But it is okay

I am okay

I have cried and I have healed

And I have learned to love again

You want me to forgive you?

I can do that

But I can also forget you

Now I ask that you forgive me

Because this is my farewell to you:

I do not want to think about you

I do not want to hear about you

And I never want to see you

You coming here was a mistake

Goodbye, Melchi
