Goodbye
A parting of ways- our future unknown,
Our futures so bright, but where to go?
Going away, getting out of town,
Some smile at this, but I wear a frown
What if I never see him again?
Life would be unpleasant without my best friend.
Without my best friend to hug me tight,
Without my best friend kissing me goodnight-
Life is much different now that I’m here
Our lives have changed so much just in one year
Life is much different away from my friend
This life is short; this life will end.
Each moment a treasure, an undeserved gift,
Each moment with you passes much too swift
Home and back to school in the blink of an eye
It never gets easier saying goodbye.
