Goodbye

Look at the ducks

Perfectly straight row

Perfectly ordered

Perfectly sized

Quack

The silence is rattle with a simple

Quack

The beating

Of my heart almost matches the duck’s strokes

Remember when we watched the ducks

For hours

Quack

Chirp

The ducks and the birds seemed to be

Creating some kind of brilliant ballad

My heart goes flippity flop

You menace

You caused this

The three small pills were in a row

Like the ducks

Quack

The rattle of the door rattles the pills and sends shivers down my spine

I scream because of you

I slam the door because of you

I cry because of you

Because of you

I’ll never be normal again

I’m already broken

And I can’t be put back together again

Pout

That’s all I’ll do

So

Goodbye pills

Goodbye ducks

Goodbye you
