Gossiping Ghosts

The demons in your mind go away

But the demons in your life are there to stay

Even as you try to break away

Their grasp tightens on your throat

A reminder that you are only a child

You will do as your told

No getting away from us

I hear everything you say

You think that you can trust us

You are truly mistaken

We are a team for better or for worse

We are for worse

But does that truly make your life any better?

As they continue to break your heart even if “they don't mean it”

Will one of them hear my side

Or go on their way to share the “New Hot Gossip”

Telling them all i say are lies

They confide in the one they despise

The reason for this is unsure

With all the drama they are planning

The outcome always leads to my demise
