The Grade

The grade will never be high enough for them

The things I need to know are the longest list

But the list of things I do know runs thin

The scolding is endless

I'm a straight C

If not an F

But the smarts they don't see

Will never be enough

Go to college

Get a degree

I don't have a brain to salvage

Even if I work much later than three

What's your GPA

What’s your ACT

What could I say

I want them to stop bothering me

Whats one thing you cant trade

You guessed it The Grade
