Graduation
Robes advance up,
regal and proud,
slumped and shy
And I look on,
indifferent
'Just another ceremony'
The mood is jubilant
Celebratory
Happy outside,
crying inside
And I cry with them
They journey home
A charter bus
Luxurious
But they're crying
Everyone
And I cry with them
Why?
'Cause I'm invisible
A wallflower,
there but unseen
Distant
Even among four others
I'm just there,
nothing else
nothing more
We separate,
they have each other,
I'm all alone
They cry because
they know everyone
I cry because I don't
