Graduation

The alarm-clock goes off but I don’t wake up. The garment riddled room is as quiet as a mouse The trees outside brush up against the window the tangerine colored sunrise permeates into the room revealing the blue-green painted wall. The alarm continues to ring and I begin to toss and turn in my bed I slowly wake from my slumber and begin to gather my thoughts I turn to my left and see nothing I don’t know how I feel about today All I've ever wanted was something that I already had All I ever wanted was to make my parents proud It's here and now that I finally realized that It was now My graduation day
