Graduation

We're here. We finally made it. A dream we thought could never come true. With hearts we all bestowed that floweth through. Our hearts, minds, and souls have been awaiting this moment, As I child-like minds listen closely upon it. I sat in the back row where no one could see, After all I think that's where I'd rather be. Away from everyone so they can't see me cry, Tears of joy that I could never fully explain why. Billions of thoughts enter my mind, We didn't realize it would come this fast, and this is where we were blind. everyone in the audience full of joy and glee, except this one girl in the back row, and that girl is me. See I have a story behind the tears and pain. Something that bit at me, and left me to take blame. A secret no one will ever know so deep and dark. A secret I'll always have to keep deep in heart. As I write this poem for a scholarship as aim. No one can ever know why I sat at graduation enduring pain.
