Graduation day

Tick type tick type
The sound of the clicking keys
A person types an application, bouncing in solid ease

Time is drawing closer
There is laughter
There is fear

They have a right to be afraid
Graduation day is near!

All those hours spent
Nose buried in the books

Have finally paid off, like last year's rent
And leaves a trail of gold

So, they type
Tick type tick type
Waiting for their day
To walk that stage, earn their place, making them okay

They passed! They passed!
Oh, what present glee!

I just hope that one day, that person could be me.
