Graduation is where I realized I had grown up.

We were told as a child that we would never get old

At least that is what Peter Pan told

But as the years go on and time pass by

Our life grows before our eyes

One minute your at elementary school

Next your in middle school thinking your too cool

Then your at graduation and you see all your friends smile

As this will be the last time for awhile

Graduation is where I realized I had grown up and was no longer a child

All the things we once did in high school were fun and wild

But now comes the real world where everything is not what we aspired

Now we have all gone our separate ways

And I will not see my friends for days

Our lives have changed maybe for the best

All I know is graduation is where I realized I had grown up and was no longer a child who loved to rest.
