Grammie Whispers

The woman who changed everything for me

Was my awesome grandmother.

She displayed everything a woman should be:

Loving, Caring, and a Godly Woman.

She always made it a point to spend time with me,

She always made it a point to ask me about school,

And she always made it a point to love me no matter what.

My grandmother is who I consider awesome!

She shaped me into the person that I am today.

She gave me her love of books, and

She is the one who inspired me to be a reader.

She is the one who told me that a girl’s toes should always be painted.

She is the one who encouraged me to follow my dreams.

She was one of my role models.

My grandmother lost her voice in 2010

And could only talk in a whisper,

But that never stopped her!

My grandmother died in 2013,

But she was able to leave her legacy behind with me.

She and I share the name Kay, so every time someone calls me Jenny Kay,

I think of her.

My grandmother is who I consider awesome.
