Grand Theft Poem

from the fields where glory does not stay

thats where my life was taken away.

i think of all the words i’d love to hear

but i never will

always the same on a fated night…

we die unconsciously

but we do not know

as i view the memories of my past as if

it was a movie playing just for me.

as my soul separates my body, into two

individual things

something started in my

soul that night

lacking the feeling of compassion

most people think so clear

                  another death

               another day

when the heart is heaviest it is taken

away

eleven years later…. no one will care.
