Grandmother

when a child you rely on another

to take care of you because she was like your mother

to show you right, to show you wrong

in hopes you learn what she said all along

the day I learnt I was fully grown

was the day I lost her so long ago

for though I loved her like a mother

she was no other but my grandmother

I take what she said with honor and praise

because it made me the person I am today.
