Grandpa
Here we are at the table
family all around.
He sits at the head of the table
bearing his mischievous grin.
Smirking, laughing, smiling
There is always a gleam in his eye.
While he hands you one pea,
fore that is what he asked
would you like A pea?
Teasing, harassing, exasperating
Always the first to comment
Never the last to laugh.
Putting his opinion with everything
always having a blast.
Talking, knowing, saying
Grandpa was the lively one
always having something to say.
Grandma kept him on his toes,
making sure he behaved.
