Grandpa

I didn’t really know you Except when you were dying In the hospital I was given ice cream To shield me from all the pain behind those doors No longer can I see them No longer can I eat them The pain those damn ice cream cups bring Is just way to much Uncle Tom hid Cheerios Where we sat to wait Trying to hide all the sadness behind the closed door I don’t really remember you But I know you loved me so When you left me you left A little hole in my heart It will never be filled I hope and wish to see you again When I die I want to learn more About how you lived, who you were I miss you so much Nobody can take that away
