grass

Have you ever seen

a grass so green but has been trampled for years?

Grass. Everywhere.

Growing. Moving with the wind.

We do not look at the lawn and see grass. We only see

the flowers, the trees,

the originals.

The things that overcame the grass. That grew from it.

Sometimes we steal a glance at the bald patches in the yard,

and snicker or drop our heads.

But never do we stop, plant the seeds, and water

on another's lawn.

In the end, it is the grass that gets trampled  and

dies.

Fades into the dirt it grew from,

and is

gone.
