Grass and Rain

Love is like grass and rain.

You encourage me to thrive,

nurture me with appreciation,

and let me glow with a green luster.

Your arrival brought out the bliss,

and restored my shallow dwindled roots.

I was once drained and utterly colorless,

but you still saw the beauty within.

I admire the smile you leave behind,

such a beautiful arc of colors.

Hence it always whispers,

“because I love you.”

I've been living life more like a clock, rather than a compass. Now I'm ready to drop every fear, and take every chance I get.
