Grassglass

A billion trillion shards of green With tattered ends like tattered dreams Lay out before me Like so many broken pieces of glass Forgotten passions are the grass But hope lives here For each one will grow back More beautiful than before And someday one will not be torn By the soulless lawn mower This blade shall be The ever-loved, the ever-lived The ever-blissful state of green This lovely one, inside the sun shall grow And thrive with me.
