Grateful Nourishment

Food is a delicacy of humanity

enjoyed by many except those of poverty,

Children pick and poke at their meals

while there are others that have to steal,

Throwing away food that is bad,

is oh so very bad

Nourishment is what the body craves,

To keep the stomach from becoming a hollow cave.

Food is created to replenish life

It should be respected like a good wife,

Truly showing thanks is just

In fact,

It is a must

For where would we be without thee?

Nowhere, that's where

For we would lack the energy,

To be of help to anybody...
