Gratitude
Everyone thought I was dead and now I live
To touch each mind with thoughts I give
Of story of nights that sound like Rhythm & Blues
Of doctors confessions to have no clue
My mom thought I was dead but now I live
to share with her love I forgot to give
to cherish this feeling of being alive
I express the things I once would hide
I didn't want to die
and now I know why
I was not done with smiles or crys
I was not done with my final dance
I was finally ready for another chance
