gratitude from a deer

thank you

for glancing at me

then looking away

like you didn’t see me

thank you

for kicking me

then spitting on my head

like you were above me

thank you

for putting a bullet in me

then another one

like you thought it was justice

thank you

for beating me

then leaving me on the ground

like your trash

thank you

for revealing to me

just how much hate people are capable of

like it would force me to hate you back

If animals could talk eh? They give us unconditional love and we give them nothing. Nice poem.
