GRAVE

The dreams I have of happy endings are gone

Your there laying in your grave and I’m standing here wondering why

Life’s not fair that I’ve learned to be true

I’m okay with that but why did god have to take away you

I’m standing here at your grave with flashbacks of the past

Knowing with one act I could have changed the outcome of this unfortunate

Event But there are no second chances

You’re lying in your grave never to see what I become

Part of me is sad but the other is unbelievably mad

I blame you for leaving and taking my dreams of what we could have been with you

you’re lying there in you grave and I’m standing here wondering why

 You will never return

Lying in your grave I turn and walk away

I glance back and in the stone I see your smiling face

The tears stain my cheeks but ill lay the past there with you

With each step I take is a step towards a new day
