Grave Digger

So I started digging a hole.
Yes I remember that day.
Told myself I had control.
Procrastinating. No way.

Just 10,000 words she said.
Due next week? Is that what I read?
Piece of cake.
I’ll start today.

Day 1.
I turned my computer on.
But then I started to yawn.
Maybe I should go to bed early.
I’ll begin tomorrow surely.

Day 2.
I turned my computer on.
After an appointment at the beauty salon.
With my freshly cut hair, I started on my hook.
But not before I share my new haircut with all of Facebook.
And Instagram and Twitter, too.
Before I knew it, the clock said 2.

Days 3,4,5,6,7.
Today turned into tomorrow.
I thought I had more time though.
How did a week pass by already?
The paper’s due tomorrow? Really?

So here I am at the bottom of my hole.
Go ahead fill her up.
Might as well make my grave because there’s no way
I’m finishing this paper t
