Gravity
You make me happy. When you blink your eyes, tides whelm the beaches. Washing away yesterday's footsteps and creating a new day, possibility, beach. You hold onto me as if the thought of losing me is far too harrowing to have even thought of. Like I'm far away in space, abyss, darkness, and you rein me back in. You are my gravity.
Play me the song again. The one that mustered up tears are made them roll down my cheeks and off my nose. Some getting into the corners on my mouth and sneaking in like foxes.
Tell me you love me again. Over and over. Just like the sun shining or bruises fading. Everyday I want nothing other than what should be. You should be hip to hip with me. Fingertip to skin. Goosebump to goosebump.
Minds play tricks, but don't let yours. Don't lose sight of the stars or the goosebumps or the tears or the tides. Don't overlook what you know to be your gravity.
